Information relating to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Avis Budget Group is closely monitoring the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) and Governments across our markets in response to the Coronavirus. Our focus is to ensure we meet customer needs while doing our part to keep you, our employees, and our communities safe.

As a mobility provider, we recognize the integral role we play in supporting our customers and communities in their time of need. We’re all in this together and we intend to continue operating in line with advice issued by responsible authorities, so that we can help as many people as possible who may need access to our vehicles.

What we’re doing to keep our customers and employees safe

Please be assured that we’re taking every reasonable step to prevent the potential spread of the Coronavirus within our locations and are working hard to minimize the risks to our customers and employees.

Following insights from the WHO and local authorities, we have updated our already robust guidance for both cleaning and disinfecting all vehicles and for disinfecting any confirmed COVID-19 vehicles.

We’ve also introduced enhanced and more frequent cleaning methods across all our locations, keeping high-touch areas such as counters, payment facilities and door handles regularly cleansed and sanitized.

Furthermore, our employees are practicing social distancing, frequent handwashing and application of hand sanitizer, and staying home should they feel unwell or exhibit any symptoms relating to Coronavirus.
